Tricom Solutions’ ongoing mission is to be amongst the pioneers in defining the market for language and speech technology in Sweden.

Our primary challenge lies in spreading the knowledge needed on the local market, i.e. knowledge about the potential in language and speech technology. It is our belief that the overall knowledge about language technology and, more importantly, how it may be used today – is low. We aim to rectify this.

We believe that the reason behind this overall low level of knowledge is due to the fact that language technology represents a fairly new market. 40 years of research within the language technology domain in correlation with a constant increase in computer performance has lead to a robust technology that is ready to be deployed and used commercially.

However, a low overall knowledge about language technology means that the technology represents a market which is undefined in nature. Undefined in the way that few people actually can relate to the terms TTS (Text-To-Speech) or ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) and the kinds of problems these technologies can solve. And with a lack of relevant knowledge comes a lack of will to actually invest money in these kinds of technologies.

So in order to make our clients want to invest money in solutions based on these technologies, we at Tricom Solutions need to raise the overall level of knowledge among our prospective clients and find new innovative ways to use language technology in order to save/increase our clients money or time.

This is the reason we believe that Tricom Solutions is defining the market for language technology in Sweden.
